Puritan's Pride Lutigold 20 mg: what is actually in it
Serving size: 1 softgel. Double the lutein, less than half the zeaxanthin.
AREDS2 match: 1 of 6 nutrients
The label leads with 20 mg of lutein, twice the trial dose, which reads well on a shelf. Zeaxanthin is 0.8 mg — forty per cent of the trial dose. Lutein and zeaxanthin work as a pair in the macula, and this formula is lopsided in the direction the front label does not mention.

What this means
This is the clearest example of why a single number on the front of a bottle cannot be read as a formula. Doubling one carotenoid while halving the other is a design choice, and the panel is the only place it shows.
